For adrenocortical carcinomas, treatment follow-up should include: • Repeat CT, MRI or MIBG scanning to assess possible local recurrence or metastases. • Measurement of specific hormones produced by the tumor . • Liver function tests and chest x-rays to document the status of metastases. Follow-up for pheochromocytomas should include: • Measurements of hormones produced by the tumor by plasma and urine tests. • Abdominal CT or MRI scans to assess the status of the primary tumor . • Bone scans, chest x-rays and liver function tests to evaluate the status of metastases. • Routine and regular blood pressure determinations to assess the effects of the hormone produced by the tumor.
